At Grounded Getaway, we want your visit to be as smooth and relaxing as possible. Please take a few moments to read through our policies and guidelines before booking. Understanding these details helps us provide a welcoming and stress-free experience—for you and all our future guests.
Deposit and Payments
At the time of booking, you are charged 50% of the booking fee. The remainder will be charged 7 days prior to your arrival. All prices are subject to HST. 100% of payment is refundable when cancelled 30 days before scheduled booking. Less than 30 days but greater than 14 days before check-in, cancellations are non-refundable but one date change or credit for a future stay is permitted.

Rules

Smoking (including cigarettes, cigars, vaping etc.) inside buildings is strictly prohibited. If you step outside for a smoke, please do so 9m from all buildings, and dispose of all cigarette butts etc.

Unregistered guests/visitors are not allowed. This rule pertains to hosting additional guests inside the accommodation and anywhere on the property of Grounded Getaway.

We are not able to accommodate pets in order to protect and respect livestock in the area. Service animals are an exception.

Drones on site are prohibited. This helps to protect the privacy of other guests and our neighbours.

Fireworks, firearms, and hunting are strictly prohibited on the property.

No ATVs or snowmobiles are to be driven around the property or on the trails.

Please be mindful of the natural surroundings, including wildlife. Refrain from leaving garbage or food outside, as it can attract animals. Garbage and recycling can be disposed of inside the respective bins inside your accommodation.

Quiet hours are from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM to respect the peaceful atmosphere.
Damage
Please immediately report any damages that occur during your stay so they can be promptly addressed. A damage fee may be charged to your credit card under the following conditions:

Broken or missing items

Evidence of smoking inside the dome or farmhouse

Excessive garbage or mess

Contamination of the hot tub water or the lid being left open (applies to dome stays only)
Liability
Grounded Getaway is not liable for lost, damaged or missing pieces of personal property while on site including luggage, jewelry, vehicles or electronics. Under Ontario law, an agritourism provider (Grounded Getaway) is not liable for the death, injury, or illness of a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at our agritourism location if that injury or death or illness results from the inherent risks of that agritourism activity. Inherent risks of agritourism activities include, but are not limited to, the risk of injury inherent to land, equipment and animals as well as the potential for you as a participant to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to your injury or death. You are assuming the risk of participating in this agritourism activity.
Cancellation
100% of payment is refundable when canceled 30 days before your scheduled booking. Less than 30 days but greater than 14 days before check in, cancellations are non-refundable but one date change or credit for a future stay is permitted.
Please note: if date change occurs or credit is given for a future stay, this reservation is not eligible for future cancellation or alternate changes. The guest will be responsible for the difference in cost if switching to dates with a higher nightly rate. 14 days or less from check in date, date changes or credits are not permitted and cancellations are not eligible for refund. If we have to cancel your booking for any reason, you will receive a full refund. During the winter season, if highways are closed and you are unable to get to Grounded Getaway for your stay, you will receive credit towards booking a later date.
